Shadow Shift
Hello! This is a vertical slice/ prototype with temporary assets of my game mechanic prototype. It is supposed to be a narrative driven puzzle adventure where player can only move in shadows. The prototype you can try now was made into a 5 min gameplay to collect relics with the cycle changes, for you to experience the mechanic in the most fun way possible!
Shadow Shift
Enter the shadows. Light is not on your side.
The sun is broken. Time, light, and fate are all out of order in the Eclipse Kingdom, a realm trapped in a broken cycle. You are the lone hope left in the world and the final Shadowalker, defenders of the harmony between light and shadow.
Game Overview
You can only move through shadows in the stylish, moody puzzle-adventure game Shadow Shift. Before time runs out, explore historic sites, outsmart changing sunlight, and retrieve misplaced artifacts. Unless you learn to control the environment, every step you take into the light could be your last.
Features
Shadow-Based Movement: Make routes with lamps and flashlights while remaining concealed in the shadows.
Day/Night Mechanics: Adapt to a world where the map is continually changing due to light fluctuations.
Investigate artifacts that offer glimpses of a vanished world through environmental storytelling.
Play strategically by managing time, figuring out light-based puzzles, and avoiding celestial traps.
Lights and relics are tools for survival or for uncovering more profound truths.
Controls & Platforms
Playable in-browser (WebGL) or downloadable for Windows. Designed with gamepad support in mind, but fully playable with mouse + keyboard.

Replayability
Every run is different. Shadow Shift promotes exploration and replay with its shifting light channels, hidden relics, and several story bits to discover. Will the light engulf you or will you discover all the secrets?
